Louis Samuel Buttice Sr. Of White Plains, MD, died on June 9, 2009, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. He was 75 years old.

Born on July 24, 1933, in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Carmela and the late Joseph Buttice.

He was an Elevator Mechanic with the Elevator Union Local Number 10 before retiring. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Oxon Hill, MD. He was known for his home improvement skills and would help anyone in need. He was a fan of the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles, and professional golf, especially when Tiger Woods played. Mr. Buttice also bowled in leagues for 30 years in Prince George's County.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Buttice and his brother, Salvatore Buttice.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Buttice; children, Louis Buttice Jr., Janet Telli, Betty and her husband Abel Matias, and Deborah Price; sisters, Carmela Pistorio and Grace Burleson; brother, Joseph Buttice; grandfather of Lisa Reeves, Crystal Buttice, Louis Buttice III, April Telli, Vincent Telli, Stephanie Rowe, Christina Matias and Shawn Price Jr; great grandfather of Cassidy Reeves, Anthony Buttice and Ashlynn Telli.

Visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 9:30AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery Suitland, MD. Pallbearers will be Louis Buttice III, Vincent Telli, Shawn Price Jr., John Rowe, John Reeves, and Phillip Pistorio.
