Sandra Kay Nims age 65 of Huntingtown, MD died June 6, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. She was born November 24, 1943 in Prince Frederick to Thomas Alvin and Daisy Dodson Buckler.

Sandra was educated in Calvert County Schools and graduated from Calvert High School. She was employed as a medical assistant for Dr. A. Frank Triana at Southern Maryland Skin Specialist in Prince Frederick until her illness. Sandra was a member of Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department. She was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed her grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father Thomas A. Buckler.

She is survived by her mother Daisy Buckler of Solomons, MD, husband Leo N. Nims, Jr. of Huntingtown, MD, sons Craig Bowen (Natalie) and Scott Bowen (Mandy), all of Huntingtown, MD, step-children Sally Simpson (Steve) of Odenton, MD, Cathy Thompson (David) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Nelson Nims (Mary) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Laura Annan (Buddy) of Lusby, MD, Robert Nims (Leslie) of Parowan, UT and Eileen Hudson (John) of Huntingtown, MD, twenty three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her brother Thomas A. Buckler, Jr. (Judy) of Huntingtown, MD.
