Benjamin D. Roberts, Jr. 60, of La Plata, MD passed away on May 21, 2009 at George Washington Hospital Center.

He is preceded in death by his Father; Benjamin D. Roberts, Sr. Brother; John Roberts, and Sister; Sandra Roberts.

He is survived by his Mother; Ann Roberts. Son; Travis Roberts and his wife Marisa. Brother; Joe Roberts. Sisters; Inez Roberts, and Phyllis Martin, and one Grandchild; Landon.

Benjamin was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Post 82. He enjoyed spending time with his Son and Grandson. He was an avid Sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys. He had worked for Chaney Enterprises for 34 years, and had served his Country as part of the Army and Navy.

A life celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. with a Legion service at 7 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 1:30 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Memorial donations can be made to the American Legion La Plata Post 82.
