Margaret "Bea" Beatrice Rippy, 87, of Waldorf, MD, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on April 29, 2026. Bea was born in Bushwood, Maryland, on January 11, 1939, to the late Arthur and Mary Wathen.

On June 21, 1958, Bea was married to the love of her life, Tarleton Rippy. They were blessed with two sons, Thomas Rippy (Edith) of Waldorf, MD, and Steven Rippy (Rose), who predeceased his mother.

In her free time, Bea enjoyed spending time with her family and her loyal companions, Rip, Beth, Marlo, and Sunny.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents, cherished husband, son, and siblings: Lawrence Wathen, Richard Wathen, Donald Wathen, Edith Roehs, Marie Miller, and Rachael Quade. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, along with her grandchildren, Nicole Hunter (Chris), Jennifer Miller, and Ashley Rippy Kerns, as well as six great-grandchildren, Colbie Miller, Noah Hunter, Peyton Miller, Bayleigh Miller, Jase Kerns, and Kinsley Kerns.

On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the family will receive friends for the visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the funeral service at 7:00 pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will be held at 1:45 pm at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623.
