Douglas Jerry Walker

Douglas Jerry Walker, 72, of Mechanicsville, Maryland passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 3, 1953, in Washington, D.C., Douglas was the son of the late Calvin and Betty Walker.

On October 2, 1976, Douglas married the love of his life, Joan Marie Brannan.

Douglas retired as an Ironworker with Local 5. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, and spending time with family and friends, especially Dennis and Jeanette Austin.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife. He is survived by his loving children: Michelle Aftimos, Laura Dorsey (Paul) and Brian Walker (Amber). He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Walker, and six cherished grandchildren: Kyle Aftimos, Jackson Walker, Isaac Aftimos, Ava Aftimos, Ashley Walker, and Madilyn Dorsey.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Douglas's life during a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, Maryland.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
