Richard King "Dick" Dundas, 86, of Newburg, MD, died May 14, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Dundas was an engineer for 42 years with C&P Telephone Company. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II. He was a life member of VFW Post #10081 in Bel Alton, MD, American Legion Post #82 in La Plata, MD, and a charter member of AMVETS Post #13 in Waldorf, MD. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, travel, bowling, and football, especially his Detroit Lions.

Born March 3, 1923, in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Albert Dundas and the late Florentine Angoli Dundas.

Predeceased by his parents; son, Andrew King Dundas; sisters, Rosemary Cooley and Betty Ruth Waltz; first wife, Thelma Elizabeth Dundas, second wife, Joalyce Dewitt Dundas

Survived by his wife, Marion M. Schroeder Dundas; sons, Joseph A. Dundas of Newburg, MD; Robert Michael Dearring of VA; and James A. and his wife Linda Williams of Taylors Island, MD; daughters, Ruth Diane Janssen of Cobb Island, MD; Margaret A. and her husband Tony Correri of Edgewood, MD; seven grandchildren, Michael, Mandy, and Keri Dearring, Ronnie Jamison, Wayne Lewis, Toni Roberts, and Kim Cannon. Also survived by three great grandchildren and a special friend, Jack Ward.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 30, 2009, from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD, with a funeral service beginning at 1PM.

Rev. Steve Davis will officiate.

Interment will be Monday, June 29, 2009, at 3 PM at Arlington National Cemetery with U.S. Army Honors.
