Mary Ruth Walker Pile, 98, of Leonardtown, Maryland, passed away at St. Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown on March 20, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elsworth Walker; mother, Annie Hay Walker; sister, Violet Reese; brother, Dale Walker; and husband, Chester Pile.

Mary is survived by her daughter Debra Pile Younkins and son-in-law James Younkins.

Mary grew up on her family's farm in Rockwood, Pa. She graduated from Rockwood High School in 1945. Mary married Chester Pile on August 20, 1949.

Mary and Chester moved to California, MD. in 1985 to be closer to their daughter and son-in-law. She loved her family and spending time with them. She also liked to go shopping and out to lunch with her daughter.

Mother will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten. Rest in peace, Mother.
