We honor the life of Kurt Edgar Wilson, a remarkable person whose passion and love for others was unmatched. Born on September 21, 1973, in Joliet, Illinois, Kurt lived a life defined by service, devotion to family, and a deep love for his country. He passed away on March 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and cherished memories for all who knew him.

Kurt served as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy, flying aboard the P-3 Orion as a Tactical Coordinator (TACCO). Over the course of 20 years of dedicated service, he demonstrated unwavering commitment to his mission, his fellow service members, and the country he loved. He retired in 2016 with great pride in his service and the bonds he formed along the way. Following his military career, Kurt continued supporting the mission he believed in, working for the past 10 years as a contractor supporting the P-8 Poseidon.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kurt was known for his warm spirit, generous heart, humility, and the joy he brought to those around him. He loved traveling, testing his knowledge with trivia, and spending quality time with the people he cared about most. An animal lover at heart, he had a special affection for his beloved beagles, Tater and Chip. Above all else, Kurt treasured his faith in God and his family; who were the center of his world and the greatest source of his pride and happiness.

Kurt is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; sons, Brady and Graham; mother, Nancy Wilson; brother, EK Wilson (Sherrie); sister, Randi Owen (Jeff); mother-in-law, Janet Buige; brothers-in-law Shawn Buige and Anthony Buige (Kristy); sisters-in-law Lisa Clark and Sharon Buige; nephews and nieces Grant (Jalyn), Pierce, Hannah, Cale, Ashley (Mason), Katherine, Austin, Jayne, Anna and Max; great nephews Kai and Koa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wilson, and his father-in-law, Francis Buige.
