A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Meredith Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Viewing/Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where Prayers will be said at 6:00 PM.

Patricia "Pat" Clara Superior, 63, of California, MD formerly of Fords, NJ died December 13, 2006 in Georgetown University Hospital. Born July 11, 1943 in Perth Amboy, NJ she was the daughter of the late Irwin Walter and Elizabeth Hansen Jones. She was the loving wife of Andrew Superior, Jr, whom she married on April 12, 1962 in Perth Amboy, NJ and the devoted mother of Andrew I. Superior, Sr of Long Island, NY, Dennis K. Superior of Leonardtown, MD, Scott R. Superior of Mechanicsville, MD and Aimee E. Superior of Lexington Park, MD. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Hach of Edison, NJ and Virginia Martoken of Monroe, NJ as well as 7 grandchildren, Mark Starnes, Andrew I. Superior, Jr, Taylor Superior, Shayla Superior, Tyler Superior, Kelleen Superior and Jordyn Wilhoit. Mrs.

Superior graduated in 1961 from Woodbridge High School. She moved to St. Mary's County in 1973 from Virginia Beach, VA, where she worked at the Navy Exchange for 21 years as an accounting technician until her retirement in May of 1995. She also belonged to the Fleet Reserve Association.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 6:00 PM.
