Francis Cleveland Herbert, Jr., passed away at his residence in Prince Frederick, Maryland, on January 20, 2026. He was born on December 15, 1938, at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. to the late Francis Cleveland Herbert, Sr. and Lucy Crain Herbert.

Francis was married on October 7, 1967 to the love of his life, the late Barbara Ann Franklin. He proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard and was a devoted member of the Episcopal faith.

For many years, Francis worked as an auto mechanic and was employed by Prince Frederick Ford and Dorsey Gray Ford where his skills and dedication were well known. He was a longtime member of the Antique Car Collectors and had a deep passion for antique automobiles, especially Ford models. He greatly enjoyed attending antique car shows and spending time restoring and working on his collection.

Francis was predeceased by his parents and wife. He is survived by his cousin Susan Rice of Charlotte Hall, MD.

Francis also had a special love for cats, which brought him much comfort and companionship.

Visitation will be February 3, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
