Joseph Leslie "Les" Abell, 84, of Orlando, Florida passed away on November 17, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1941, in Leonardtown, Maryland, and was the son of the late Harry Benedict Abell, Sr., and Mary Catherine Guy Abell.

Les grew up and lived in St. Mary's County until 1977. In his younger years, he played softball and pool on County Leagues. Later he developed a love for throwing darts and played with his family before moving out of state. He was a machinist by trade, working with slot machines in the early 60's, and then at Minitec in Leonardtown. Les was known to be a jack of all trades and was able to fix almost anything.

Les is survived by his children, Leslie Thomas (Todd Groszer) of St. Mary's City, Maryland; Robin Abell of Van Nuys, California; Tim Abell (Diana) of Lusby, Maryland; and Shari Abell (Scot Rebello) of Oviedo, Florida. He had three granddaughters – Danielle (Nick), Tyler, (Marco), and Jordan, and three great grandchildren – Braelyn, Annie, and Alex. Les is also survived by his siblings - Harry Abell (Rita), Wayne Abell, Cathy Bos (Dick), and Bill Abell (Melva), along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gene Abell.
