Clifford "Scotty" Scott Roysden, Jr., 55, of Hollywood, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2025, surrounded by his wife and son.

Born in Marietta, Georgia on September 3, 1970, he was the beloved son of Clifford Scott Roysden, Sr. and Linda Faye (Brooks) Roysden. Scotty was a proud resident of St. Mary's County for the past 28 years, where he built a full and meaningful life rooted in love, family, and friendships.

A devoted husband, father, and friend, Scotty married Christina "Christy" Marie (Vansant) Roysden, on August 21, 1993 in Stockbridge, GA. Together, they shared 32 wonderful years of marriage, raising their son, Brennan Roysden, and building a home filled with love and laughter.

Scotty earned a Master's Degree from Tulane University while supporting NAVAIR/NAWCAD at NAS Patuxent River. He was also a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with honor and commitment. Scotty was a talented woodworker and owner of Hickory Landing Woodworks, LLC, where his skills and dedication were admired.

Scotty was a member of Hollywood United Methodist Church and found joy and fellowship in his community living by the values of kindness, service, and humility.

A man of many talents and interests, Scotty loved woodworking, fishing, and spending time boating, playing golf, and cheering for his favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs. Scotty especially loved watching Brennan participate in any sport he chose including baseball, golf and currently wrestling.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Christy, son, Brennan, his mother, Linda Roysden, his sisters, Sherrie Webb (Steve) and Theresa Ebert; his brother, James "Jimbo" Roysden (Rachel), his mother and father in-law, Pamela and Tyler Vansant, and sister in law Melissa Crimminger (Ryan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kyle, Kali, Tyler, Morgan, Avery, and Gavin, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime friends. The Family's loyal dog, Dean Martin, will miss Scotty sharing his potato chips.

He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Scott Roysden, Sr., who now welcomes him home.

Scotty will be remembered for his integrity and boundless love for his family. His memory will live on in the wood he shaped and the lives he touched.

A celebration of Scotty's life will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 1200 at Hollywood United Methodist Church, 24422 Mervell Dean Rd, Hollywood, MD 20650, officiated by Pastor Matthew Tate. Visitation with the Family will precede the funeral service from 1000-1200.
