Donna Denise Borie, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Bryantown, Maryland. She was born on April 21, 1951, in California, to Lee and Beverly Major.
Donna's life was one marked by unwavering love, generosity, and devotion to family and community. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Jay Borie Sr., and her children: Mickey Major of San Diego, California; Dennis Jay Borie Jr. (Safiya) of Bryantown, Maryland; and Dana Denise Borie of Ramona, California. She also leaves behind her siblings Lee Wesley Major Jr. (Jannette Trokinski), Regina Wooten, and Patricia Major (Joe Osborne). She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Major and sister Anna Marie Major. Donna's legacy continues through her grandchildren—Daniella Bridgeforth (Keith), Jr. Worthey (Helen), Solomon Worthey, Deborah Taulbee (David), Adjowa Borie, Balogun Borie, Diogu Borie, and Sabelo Borie—and her seven great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her boundless love and lessons of compassion. Known affectionately as "a mother to all," Donna opened her home and her heart to countless people throughout her life. She nourished others not only with her delicious cooking but also with her wisdom, encouragement, and endless capacity for love. Her presence was a source of strength and comfort to everyone who knew her. Donna was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she lived out her values of service and charity. She found joy in life's simple pleasures—watching football, cooking for loved ones, and caring deeply for others. Donna was also a long-time member with the local 89 laborers' union. Her spirit of kindness and selflessness will be remembered and cherished always. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love remains a guiding light in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Condolences may be made to the family at www.brinsfieldfuneral.com.
