Sidney John Francis Waugh, Sr., 67 of Newburg, MD died April 29, 2009 at home. Born July 17, 1941 in Newburg, he was the son of the late Delanie Foster Waugh, Sr. and Virginia Florine Hemsley Clark of Charles County, MD.

On March 17, 1963, he married Mary Katherine Brown of Newburg, MD. He was a member of Shiloh Community United Methodist Church where he held numerous positions at the church. After 36 years of service, he retired from the College of Southern Maryland, was a locksmith, and was recently employed at the Bel Alton High School Alumni Association CDC.

He was an avid hunter - a longtime member of the NR; woodworking and restoring antique furniture; collector of die cast metal cars and miniature trains; fishing; refurbishing his 1966 Ford Galaxy 500; and long time member of the Six of Us Social Club. He loved being around his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, children: Yvette Waugh, Trantina Waugh, Sidney Jr. (Ronda), Marlo (Laverne), and Corey (Lonnie); Brother Delanie F. Waugh, Jr., Sisters: Joyce Waugh, Donnie Butler and Rose Brown, and a host of grandkids, godchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.

His viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, 9:00am until time of service 11:00am at Shiloh Community United Methodist Church, Newburg, MD. Interment Church Cemetery.
