Herman Elwood "Woody" Taylor, 59, of Dameron, Maryland died on November 28, 2006 at the Bayside Care Center, Lexington Park, Maryland. Born on May 13, 1947 in Fredericksburg, VA, he was the son of the late Elwood Herman Taylor and Thelma Davis "Tillie" Taylor Lusby of Solomons, Maryland.

He graduated from St. Michael's High School in Ridge, Maryland in 1966. He married his wife, Karen Laura Nicotera Taylor on April 8, 1967. He was employed by the Carpenters Union # 1145. After 30 years of service he retired in 2003. He enjoyed classic cars and fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Thelma Davis "Tillie" Taylor Lusby and her husband Carroll of Solomons, MD, wife, Karen L. Taylor of Dameron, MD, daughter, Laurie Ann Quade and husband Tim of Dameron, MD, son, Brian Ski Taylor of Dameron, MD and a sister, Mary Lou Troutman and her husband Jeff of Ridge, MD.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650. Prayers will be recited at 5:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery, 16555 Three Notch Road, Ridge, Maryland 20680.
