Ruth E. Gaydos, 86, of Lusby, MD passed away at her home on April 27, 2009. Ruth was born on December 28, 1922 in Washington D.C. to the late Edna Colvin and Lester C. Erhadt.

Besides her parents, Ruth is also predeceased by her husband, George Gaydos, her son George Gaydos, Jr. and her siblings, Warren Erhardt, Lester Erhardt, Jr. and Betty Seger.

Ruth retired from the US Census Bureau where she worked as a secretary. She lived in Brandywine for many years before moving to Calvert County. In her pastime, she loved to crochet. Ruth had many title and she filled them all perfectly.

Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, John Gaydos and Barbara Miller, great grandchildren Jennifer, Quinn, and Elizabeth, and one great great grandchild, Zachary. She is also survived by one sister, Shirley Graham, a devoted niece whom she lived with, Sheryl Griffith and many mother nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD on Sunday May 3, 2009 from 2-4 PM where services will be held on Monday May 4, 2009, 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
