Thompson, George Stephen, Age 56 of Waldorf, Maryland.

Quietly on Friday, April 24, 2009 at his home in Waldorf, Maryland. George Stephen Thompson, age 56 departed this life for life eternal. He was born in Washington, DC on March 16, 1953 to the late Roy Adrian Thompson and the late Frances Irene Savoy Thompson.

George was educated in the Charles County school system and worked as an insulator for G & B and A1 Insulators for several years. He retired to begin his own business, contracting as G.S.T. Deliveries. George better known to his family and friends as "Steve", "Stevie", or "Ste-Bo" had a special love for fishing, crabbing, cooking, keeping an immaculate lawn and playing keno all day.

George leaves to mourn his beloved long time mate of 34 years, Ann "Juanita" Briscoe, his loving daughter, Kendra and three precious grandsons, Khaleel, DaeShaun and Tahj. He is also survived by seven sisters, Eunice (Sam), Juanita, Betty (Harold), Ruth, Agnes, Tessa (Thomas) and Wanda (Thomas); three brothers, Billy, Roy (Cecelia) and Howard (Dee). Along with his parents he was preceeded in death by his brother, Winfield and sister, Margaret. George will be sorely missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family members.

Services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waldorf, Maryland on Thursday, April 30, 2009. Pastor Flum will be officiating. Viewing, 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. His Interment will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery.
