![]() Linda Marie Popp, age 64, of Port Republic, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on May 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 8, 1960, in Annapolis, Maryland, Linda was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life, Bruce Popp, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. She was the proud mother of Victoria Blackwell (Russell) and William Popp, and a grandmother to Lilianne Blackwell, who brought her endless joy and pride. Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She believed in God's grace, found peace in prayer, and trusted in His plan. Her quiet strength, compassion, and generous spirit were reflections of the deep faith she carried in her heart. She lived her life guided by love, kindness, and a strong sense of purpose—always looking for ways to help others and uplift those around her. Professionally, Linda worked as a Legal Assistant at Squire Sanders Law Firm in D.C. Eventually, she chose to focus fully on her family, becoming a dedicated stay-at-home wife and mother—a role she cherished, as well as a secretary for her husband's business, B&L Hauling. Linda had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and cared for. Always ready to lend a hand, she went above and beyond for anyone in need, and her door was always open to friends and neighbors alike. Her legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will live on in the many lives she touched. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Popp; her loving children, Victoria Blackwell (Russell) and William Popp; her cherished granddaughter, Lilianne Blackwell; her mother, Eleanor Duttweiler; and her sister, Ann Marie Warren. She is reunited in heaven with her father, Leland Duttweiler; her brother, Gregory Duttweiler; and her sister, Bonnie Warrington. In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on June 29, 2025. An invitation with details will be sent out. All friends and family are welcome to join in remembering and honoring the beautiful life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Linda's beautiful spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed—but never forgotten. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the memories she helped create. |
