Geraldine "Gerri" Patricia McDonough, 85 of Mechanicsville, MD died on April 20, 2009 at her residence. Born on January 28, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jerimiah Patrick and Kathryn Mercedes Doyle McDonough.

Gerri moved into Mechanicsville in 1997. She was a homemaker and also was active in Senior Center and worked at St. Clements Island Museum. Gerri was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Gerri was the beloved wife of the late John Hayes McDonough.

Survived by her children, Michaela and husband, James Tanner, Erin A. McDonough, Hayes, Kevin, Shawn P., Michael, Shane M., and Sean M. McDonough, sister, Dorothy Bachner, 19 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.


Family will receive friends to Celebrate Gerri's Life on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 10-1 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. with Father William Gurnee officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA.
