Paul Thomas Howe, 84, of Clements, MD passed away April 1, 2025, peacefully at The Charleston Senior Living Community in Waldorf, MD.

He was born August 27, 1940 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Parren Martin Howe & Mary Agnes (Harris) Howe.

On July 2, 1964 Paul married his beloved wife, Susan Elizabeth Wathen, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morganza, MD. Together they celebrated over 53 wonderful years of marriage, before her passing in 2018. He loved his family, his church, bingo and spending time with friends and family. If you ever met Paul, you didn't leave him without a joke. One of the greatest joys in his life, was being a grandfather. After working for St. Mary's County Public Schools for 30 years, he retired at the early age of 52 and devoted his time to working at St. Joseph Church, volunteering in the community and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Allen Howe (Kimberly) of Leonardtown, MD and William Martin Howe of Leonardtown, MD; four grandchildren: Emily "Ev" Nicole Bosse (Jake), Matthew Ryan Howe, William Thomas Howe, John Luke Howe; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings: Joseph William Howe, James Louis Howe, Mary Agnes Ferguson, John Sheldon Howe, Alice Mae Johnson, Parran Aloysius Howe, Joseph Clarence Howe, Peter Henry Howe, and Helen Elizabeth Hill.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:30 am at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Andrew Royals at 11:00 a. m., at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 29119 Point Lookout Road, Morganza, MD 20660. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Howe, Tommy Howe, Jimmy Howe, Joe Howe, Leonard Wathen and JW Vallandingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 175, Morganza, MD 20660 or Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 299, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
