Morgan Stewart "Poo" King, 92, of North Beach, passed away March 31, 2025. He was born December 20, 1932 in Chesapeake Beach to John Richard and Myrtle Edith (Long) King. Stewart was the last of the Chesapeake Beach icons. He was raised in Chesapeake Beach and graduated from Calvert High School in 1952. Stewart joined the United States Air Force on November 5, 1952 and was honorably discharged on October 31, 1960. Stewart married Catherine Rawlings (Klein) on September 18, 1987. He worked as a welder at the Naval Research Lab for 21 years, retiring in 1980. Stewart was a lifetime member of North Beach Volunteer Fire Department and served as Chief from 1963-1964. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother Zane, and playing baseball and softball. He was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins.

Stewart is survived by his wife Catherine Marie King, children Phillip Wayne King of Chesapeake Beach, Dawn Ward and her husband Wayne of North Beach, and Judy Hill and her husband Tom of Solomons, grandchildren Phil King, Jr., Hunter, King, Ryder King, and Wayne Ward, Jr., great-grandchildren Aiden Ward, his dog Peanut, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings John, Walter, Zane, and Marion King.
