It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thomas Duvall Burroughs Jr who passed away on January 30 at the age of 76 He was born in 1948 to the late Nannie Gwinn Hungerford Burroughs and George TD Burroughs in Cheverly Maryland

George Tommy grew up in Upper Marlboro MD He graduated from Mercersburg Academy and Syracuse University While at university he worked as a athletic trainer with several of the schools teams He had a long career as a real estate appraiser

In recent years he volunteered with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program of St Marys County and participated in many programs at the Loffler Garvey Senior Centers George was an active member of the Sunshine Singers and Readers Theatre He especially enjoyed helping the staff to make others feel welcome at the center He was employed by St Marys County Recreation Parks as a Park Attendant at Chancellors Run Regional Park and as a Pool Attendant at Great Mills Pool
He is survived by his son George TD Burroughs III and wife Lauren Giordano of Cordova Maryland sister Laura Burroughs and nephew Gus Hinz and wife Kirsten of New Market Maryland

Funeral Service will be held Saturday March 15 2025 from 1100am 1200pm at Middleham Smith Hall 10210 H G Trueman Road Lusby MD 20657
