Marvin Merrick Stamp, 66, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 10, 1958, in La Plata, Maryland, he was the youngest son of Owen and Ruth Stamp.

Marvin spent his final years in Benedict, Maryland, with his devoted wife, Solange. A dedicated and loving father, he leaves behind his children, Joseph, Cody, and Randi, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Jasmine. He is also survived by his siblings, Clint, Larry, and Sandy.

A hardworking and passionate craftsman, Marvin was the proud owner of Custom Wood and Plastics, where he poured his talent and dedication into his work. Even after semi-retiring two years ago, he remained deeply involved in the trade he loved. Outside of work, he found joy in his garden, always growing something with his green thumb. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching and betting on his favorite football and baseball teams. He also had a deep love for his loyal dog, Chester, and his beloved cat, Pearl, who were constant companions in his life.

Marvin lived life to the fullest and was a true fighter to the very end. Per his wishes, no formal service will be held. In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to cancer research, honoring his strength and resilience.
