![]() Patricia "Jeannie" Copsey-Trumbull, 77, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. Born in Alexandria, Virginia on June 21, 1947, she was the daughter of Dorothy Eleanor Costello, and her late father.
Jeannie was a loving mother to her two daughters: Lisa Jean Miller of Mechanicsville, MD, and the late Tina Marie Copsey. She spent the last 50 years living in Mechanicsville, where she worked as a Victim's Advocate in St. Mary's County before retiring. Her passion for helping others was evident in her dedicated service to the community. Jeannie was an active member of the Jaycettes, Mechanicsville Moose Lodge, and Toys for Tots, where she found camaraderie and fellowship. She had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending her time fishing, boating, and camping. She cherished family gatherings and had a fondness for shopping, gambling, cruising, and creating many happy memories along the way. In 2020, Jeannie married Jack Trumbull, with whom she was with since 2014, and shared the remainder of her life with. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jack Trumbull, her mother Dorothy Costello, her daughter Lisa Jean Miller, her brother Jimmy Costello, and her grandchildren Paige Marie Hamilton and Cameron Allen Miller. Jeannie was predeceased by her brother Jerry Costello. Jeannie will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, selflessness, love, and the joy she brought to those around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The family will be accepting friends for Visitation at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Brinsfield Funeral home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 9 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Charles Memorial Gardens, 26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD, with a reception at the Mechanicsville Moose Lodge following. |
