Barbara Ann Ridgeway, 87, of Hubert, North Carolina passed away on January 22, 2025, she was surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 13, 1937 to Harry and Viola Johnson in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her husband, John Ridgeway of 47 years, their children, her siblings Harry Johnson (Helen), Ellen Andrews, Anna Tolliver and Agnes Flock. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Barbara was blessed with seven children, Richard McKee III (Linda) of Mechanicsville, MD, John McKee (Beth) of Hollywood, MD, John Ridgeway Jr (Lisa) of Hubert, NC, Shirley Burgess of Floyd, VA, Patricia Bartels (Ronald) of Huntingtown, MD, Geraldine Evans of Glen Bunie, MD, and Barbara Brooks (Will) of Lexington Park, MD.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Eugene Johnson, George Johnson and Joseph Johnson.

Barbara was a homemaker and in her free time she enjoyed breeding Pomeranians, attending BINGO and car shows with her husband as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be January 28, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20601.
