It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom Betty Cusick. Betty was born on May 4, 1936, to Sam & Malka Chanin in Berlin, Germany.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Adam Chanin and Gary Chanin. She is survived by her son Andrew Joseph Cusick (Debbie) of Mechanicsville, loving grandchildren – Melanie Bowling (Chris) and John Cusick (Debbie) along with 4 wonderful great-grandchildren – Drew Bowling, Emme Bowling, Jaxon Cusick and Bailee Cusick. They all brought great joy into her life.

Betty dedicated 30 years at Sears & Robuck in Waldorf MD and then 17 years working as a phone operator at Physicians Memorial Hospital where she excelled in her role and touched the lives of many with her kindness.

Betty had a passion for crocheting, spending hours creating beautiful pieces. She also had a love for reading, always a book in hand, eager to dive into a new adventure. But above all, Betty cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

We will truly miss her gentle spirit and loving nature. Let us cherish the memories we shared with her and find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.

Graveside service will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd. Waldorf, MD 20601 at 1:30.

Pallbearers will be John Cusick, Jaxon Cusick, Bailee Cusick, Chris Bowling, Drew Bowling and Emme Bowling.
