Patricia (Pat) Jean Cross 80, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on September 6, 2024.

Born on March 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William H. Frome and Thelma Marie Frome (Knott).

After graduating high school, she drove a school bus for St. Mary's County Public Schools and later worked as an Emergency Dispatcher for the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department for over 15 years before retiring.

Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Douglas Cross, Jr and her parents.

Patricia is survived by her children, Jerry Lee Denton, Jr. of Mechanicsville, Tammy Marie Kieber of Leonardtown, and Jancie Lee Otte of Mechanicsville, grandchildren; Amanda Guy, Robert Guy, Jr., Carl Copsey, Jr., Samantha Copsey, Dylan Otte, Jerry Douglas Denton, Jessica Dean and Deanna Joyce, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at All Faith Episcopal Church, 38885 New Market Turner Rd., Mechanicsville, MD 20659 on Tuesday September 17, 2024, from 11:30am to 12:00pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow immediately after in the church cemetery.
