Mary Lorraine "Sally" Marshall, 91, a lifelong resident of Deale passed away July 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. She was born August 2, 1932, in Deale and graduated from Southern High School. Sally married Norman Franklin Marshall on December 23, 1950, and they enjoyed a long happy marriage of 72 years. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. Sally enjoyed cooking and loved children. She was known as "Aunt Sally" and later "Grandma Sally" to the kids in the neighborhood.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband Norman Franklin Marshall. She is survived by her children Dawn Groves of Deale, Paul Marshall and his wife Sandy of Hardeeville, SC, and Bruce Marshall and his wife Denise of Deale, grandchildren Adam Groves and his wife Christina of Huntingtown, Lauren Price and her husband Dennis of Crofton, and Victoria Mackey and her husband Bobby of Prince Frederick, and great-grandchildren Patrick, Tyler, James, Fiona, Gemma, Brooklynn, and Owen.
