Michael "Mike" Edington, 62 of Lusby, MD, passed away unexpectedly on July 14, 2024.

Actively serving as the Government Branch Head of the Airborne Battle Space Division at the NAWC, Pax River, MD, Mike recently surpassed more than 43 years of loyal and dedicated service to his Navy and country.

For twenty of those years, Mike accumulated more than 7,000 flight hours as an active duty Naval Aircrewman ("AW" both acoustic and non-acoustic).

A son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, Patriot and Warrior, Mike was revered by many, trusted by all, and his genuine kinship and easy smile made everyone around him his friend.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Donald Edington. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Edington, wife, Donna Edington, brother, Donald Edington and wife Christine, sister, Christina Williams and husband Robert, sons, Allen and Blake Edington, two step-daughters, Sandra Kay and Jacqueline Sudduth, nine grandchildren and an extended loving family.

Honoring Mike's testament, he is to be cremated and there will be no formal burial services.
