Richard Summerville "Dick" Brown, 77, of Lusby, MD passed away on March 26, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Arthur N. Brown and Mary T. Summerville.

Dick joined the Marine Corps in March 1951 and served his country honorably for 30 years retiring September 30, 1981. While in the military he did two tours in the Korean War, and three tours in the Vietnam War. After retirement, he continued to work for the U.S. Government as a civil servant in Aviation Ordnance with NAVAIR, Patuxent River, MD and retired after twenty two years of service in January 2000.

Dick is survived by his soul mate, Bobbie Nethercutt of Lusby, MD; children, Michelle L. Magana of Los Alamitos, CA, Timothy R. Brown of Santa Ana, CA, Thomas S. Brown of Sequim, WA, William D. Brown of Huntington Beach, CA, and Richard A. Brown of Los Alamitos, CA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 10 AM - 12 Noon and 2 – 4 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 3PM in the Rausch Funeral Home, Lusby, MD with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will take place on April 14, 2009 at 9 AM in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
