Gene Brady Lucas of Chesapeake Beach, MD died March 27, 2009 at George Washington University Hospital. He was born April 21, 1951 in Mineral City, Ohio, the son of Harold Edgar and Dorothy Mae (Hidey) Hudnell, who preceded him in death.
Gene received his education in Ohio schools. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 until 1975 and was stationed at NAS, Patuxent River, MD as an aircraft mechanic. Gene was proud that he was involved in the first flight test of the F18 aircraft. He was later an aeronautical engineer for NAVAIR as well as an aircraft mechanic for the Secretary of the Navy. He was also an avid motorcycle racer. Gene had resided in Lusby before moving to Chesapeake Beach in 1988. He is survived by his wife Carol Lucas and son Paul Lucas of Chesapeake Beach, MD and a brother Harold Hudnell of Baltimore, MD. Arrangements provided by Rausch Funeral Home. |
