Joseph Franklin Morgan, "Tinnie", 64, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away on May 17, 2024, in Leonardtown, MD. Born on June 7, 1959, in Leonardtown, MD, he was the loving son of the late Cecelia Hope Jones Morgan and the late Lewis Matthew Morgan, Sr. Tinnie is survived by his children, Joey Morgan (Amanda) and Jesse Morgan, both of Virginia, his siblings, Charles "Duck" Morgan of Lusby, MD, Robert "Bobby" Morgan, Sr. of California, MD, David "Andy" Morgan (Beverly) of Hollywood, MD, and Donna Abell (JB) of Leonardtown, MD, as well as five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Marilyn Morgan, Lewis "Scooter" Morgan, Jr., James "Billy" Morgan, and Calvin Morgan.

Tinnie was a lifelong St. Mary's County, MD resident and grew up working for Mr. Knott on the farm in Hollywood, MD and working out in the tobacco field. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cards. Tinnie never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone with anything.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Nina Raley, John Morgan, Jennifer Carroll, Robert Morgan, Jr., Calvin Morgan, and Samantha Abell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Morgan and Robert Morgan III.
