Audrey Cynthia Stokes passed away on January 18, 2024. Born in Washington, D.C. on June 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn Glass.

She was predeceased by her brother Butch Glass (Mary Ellen), nephew Johnny Glass, and former spouse James Stokes.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Glass; daughters Cynthia Mistysyn (Thomas Jr.) and Elizabeth Stokes, grandchildren: Timothy Guy, Samantha Smith (Jared), Gary Guy, Luke Guy, Genevieve Guy, Shelby Mistysyn; great grandson Atlas Guy; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving companion Lenny Morgan.

Audrey was a former employee of Earl's Steak House in Charlotte Hall, Md. and 26-year loyal employee at Nicks of Clinton in Waldorf, Md. Well known as the friendly cashier, Audrey was recognized everywhere she went - even once while on vacation in Mexico. She loved to listen to music while singing and dancing. Audrey loved her family deeply and always wanted the best for them. She was a strong woman who bravely fought a six-year battle with cancer.

Audrey's funeral will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel, 17546 Kings Highway, Montross, VA 22520 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
