Marjorie passed peacefully on February 2, 2024 in Homosassa, FL. She was born April 5, 1944 in Washington DC to Helen M. Harvell and Charles F. Hayden.

Marge raised five fearfully and wonderfully made children and continued her education later in life obtaining her Associates degree in Business Management from the CCCC in La Plata, Md. and proudly worked as the first female Assistant Museum Director at Patuxent River Naval Air Museum. She was heavily involved in her community, she ran for the position of Maryland State Delegate, was president of Maryland PTA, a Cub Scout leader, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, sang with Sweet Adaline's International and her most selfless volunteer position was an end-of-life caregiver for Hospice of St. Mary's. She was also known to care for and take in many family members in need at various time in her life and often gave at the risk of her own comfort.

Marge is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Kayes, her siblings Connie Hayden, Kathleen Hayden and William Mitchell Hayden and her son Matthew Timothy Kayes. She is survived by her remaining children, William Joseph Kayes (Lorraine), Kenneth Richard Kayes (Tracy), Christopher Charles Kayes, and Helena Elizabeth Fondeur (Humberto); Thirteen Grandchildren, fifteen Great-Grandchildren, three siblings and a host if nieces and nephews.

Her life will be celebrated on March 21, 2024 @ 11 AM with mass at St. Joseph's Church/Hall located at 4590 St. Josephs Way in Pomfret, Md. Interment will be held on April 5th at Bushnell Veteran Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Donations in leu of flowers can be made to Hospice of St. Mary's.
