![]() Michael Paul Andritz, 56, of Buskirk, NY, formerly of Newburg, MD, died March 22, 2009, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC.
Mr. Andritz was a technical writer with Mirant (PEPCO) for 30 years which he joyfully retired from in 2007. He served six years in the United States Navy Submarine Fleet. Michael will be remembered most for his love and dedication to family, his meticulous writing skills, his unswerving loyalty to the Buffalo Bills and everything Mopar. He was also a long-time coach and umpire with Southern Charles Little League and the Metropolitan Baseball Umpires Association. He also dedicated several years to La Plata High School Football as an Assistant Coach. "The Captain has left us too soon, but his spirit lives on in his family." Born April 20, 1952, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Roy Paul Andritz and the late T. Dottie Dutcher Andritz. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy Andritz; two sons, Steven Andritz of Bryans Road, MD; Gregory (Amanda) Andritz of Buskirk, NY; one brother, David (Sharon) Andritz of Tonawanda, NY; one sister, Susan Geary of Apalachin, NY. Also survived by two grandsons, Gregory, Jr. And Christian as well as his extended family in upstate New York. Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2009, from 5PM to 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD, with a funeral service beginning at 7PM. Rev. Donald Benjamin will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in upstate New York with Navy Honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
