Dorothy Ann Chick, 88, of Little River, SC passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024.

Born December 14, 1935, in Washington, D.C. Daughter of the late George Thomas and Georgianna (Stamp) Hamilton and raised on the family farm.

Dorothy was married to John Francis Chick on April 14, 1956, in Suitland, MD. Together they raised five children.

She enjoyed gardening, restoring antique furniture, interior decorating, and traveling. She was a kind and loving wife and mother to her family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband John, daughter Patricia, grandson Michael, and great-granddaughter Maddison.

She leaves behind a loving family to include many. Surviving family members include brother George Hamilton, Jr., children Joseph, David, Jeanne (Whittington), and John Jr. Also survived by grandchildren Brian, Katie, Jeffrey, Sarah, Andrew, Melanie, Benjamin, and great-grandchildren Jackson, Aiden, Rylan, Alexander, Leland, and Scarlett.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with a remembrance service at 4:00 pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
