At the young age of 14, Wayne took up playing the guitar and singing. He loved performing for an audience and belonged to many local bands. Southern Dynamics and Harmony to name a few. In later years he enjoyed playing bluegrass with many old friends. Wayne married young, raised a family and was fearless when it came to making a change. Packing up the family and off to Florida or California, and always landing on his feet. When he settled in Hollywood, his true passion became driving a big truck. Two of his favorite employers were United Van Lines and Dynacorp. He was like a cowboy from the old West. The perfect load going to the west coast and reloading for the east coast. And yes, he always wore cowboy boots. In later years he enjoyed chauffeuring employees of the Trading Post up and down the east coast looking for auction items. Family was important to Wayne and he spent many hours enjoying visits and get togethers. He was instrumental in helping young musicians Darren, Ian and Thad in playing guitar and singing. He always said it was all them. Wayne had a big heart and a bigger smile. In later years, he came to Christ and his smile was even bigger. He would share the words of the Bible with anyone that was interested.
