Nora Erivera Trinidad, age 74, died peacefully on February 24, 2024 in Leonardtown, Maryland. She was born on July 15, 1949 in Gumaca, Quezon province, Philippines. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother (Lola), sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, Abner Escobido Erivera and her mother, Adelaida Canzon Saligan.

She is survived her husband, Alfredo C. Trinidad, Jr.; one daughter, Hazel (Jonathan) Secchiaroli of Waterford, CT, and one son, Alfredo (JoAnn) E. Trinidad III of Great Mills, MD. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Giulio, Alessandro and Amelia Secchiaroli, and Aidan and Sebastian Trinidad. She also leaves behind three sisters: Mena Sasot, Eleanor Yap, and Rina Sasot, and their families who reside in the Philippines. Nora graduated high school in 1968 in Lopez, Philippines (the countryside) and moved to Manila (the big city) to pursue nursing (in true typical Filipina fashion). Her studies were halted in 1976, however, when she immigrated to San Diego, California, USA to be with her husband and his family. She worked in electronics for Topaz, Inc. and lived in San Diego for more than 30 years, before relocating to Waterford, CT in 2007 to help her daughter, Hazel, in raising a family. In 2017, she moved to Norfolk, VA to spend time with her son, Alfredo, a US Navy veteran, and his family. At the time of her death, she resided in Great Mills, MD, where her son bought a home.

Nora will be remembered for her kindness, caring, and selflessness. She was known as a caretaker, supporting her son and daughter as they raised young families. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, drawing, and attending her grandchildren's school events and concerts. Her pancit and lumpia were infamous dishes at her son-in-law's family pig roast in CT, where relatives from CA, VA and DE would gather for a visit. Known as sister Nora, she was a devout member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), where her son is a head deacon in the local Congregation of Patuxent River. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Viewing is on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 3:00pm-4:00pm, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 pm at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home located at 41590 Fenwick St., Leonardtown, MD.
