Lindsey Paul Rudolph, 29, of Lexington Park, MD died on Monday, March 23, 2009. She was born in St. Mary's County Hospital in Leonardtown, MD on June 18, 1979, to Dr. Robert W. Paul and Susan G. Paul of Lexington Park, MD.

She attended St. Mary's County public schools and was Co-Captain of the Field Hockey team in her senior year and Salutatorian of Great Mills High School's class of 1997. Lindsey graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history, and then she was an AmeriCorps volunteer teaching English to migrant workers in Oregon.

She moved to Burlington, Vermont, to complete a Master of Arts degree in history at the University of Vermont where she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant, and subsequently moved to Chicago where she worked for a short time in real estate appraisal.

Lindsey married Todd Rudolph on May 28, 2006, and they moved to St. Mary's County. Lindsey worked for Historic St. Mary's City as a historical interpreter, and then pursued a Masters of Library Science degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she student taught and in December of 2008 completed her degree.

Lindsey's passions were for history and education. She was an avid lover of the outdoors who pursued canoeing, kayaking, camping, and hiking. She also travelled widely, was an avid reader, and a member of the St. Mary's River Watershed Association. She will be remembered for her selfless generosity, enthusiasm for life, and good humor.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Rudolph, her parents, Dr. Robert and Susan Paul, her sister Carrie E. Paul, all of Lexington Park, MD.

A memorial service will held at the Daugherty Conference Center, 22111 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD 20653 on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
