Linda Marie Apodaca passed away December 14, 2023, at the age of 80 in La Plata, Maryland. Born October 14, 1943 in Leonardtown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Everett Cooksey and the late Helen Cecilia Cooksey. Pre-deceased by her devoted husband of 30 years, Edward Apodaca, earlier this year, Linda and Ed are survived by their children -- Bucky Bowling (Diane), Wally Bowling (Dawn), Danny Bowling (Brianna), Steve Bowling (Amy), Edward Apodaca (Laura) and April Apodaca (Alex). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, brothers Jack Cooksey, David Cooksey, Pat Cooksey, Mike Cooksey, Neil Cooksey, Richard Cooksey and Greg Cooksey, and sisters, Connie Gray, Joanne Good, and June Wathen. She was pre-deceased by her brother Chuck Cooksey.

Linda had a long and varied professional life including bookkeeper, real estate investor, event planner and the owner of executive office suites with her husband. She was most proud though of her role as mother and grandmother. She raised a close-knit family and was abundantly proud of their accomplishments. She took special joy in attending her grand and great-grandchildrens' sport, academic and dance events.

She enjoyed traveling, especially overseas, bowling, and playing the card game pitch with her family and friends. Linda took great pleasure in both attending and hosting family gatherings for both her immediate and extended family.

We invite you to celebrate a life well lived on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, with viewing from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and prayers at 5:00 p.m. at La Plata Methodist Church in La Plata, MD.
