Harvey Markwood Jones, age 66, of Huntingtown, MD, died March 19, 2009 at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD. He was born February 22, 1943 in Keedysville, MD, and graduated from Boonesboro High School in 1961.

He was employed as a railroad car repairman for Amtrak and retired in 2003 after forty years of faithful service.

He married Doris E. Hall on December 27, 1977, and they made their home in Chesapeake Beach until moving to Huntingtown in 1987.

Harvey was a taxidermist and cattle breeder and farmer. He was a member of the Maryland and National Taxidermy Associations. He enjoyed fishing, and was an avid hunter.

He was devoted to and enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He is survived by his wife Doris, daughters Sherry L. Ramsburg of Hagerstown, MD and Wanda L. Hardesty and her husband Gary of Solomons, MD, a son Raymond E. Shulman and his wife Deborah of Huntingtown, MD, and brothers Elwood and Gary Jones of Keedysville, MD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

All services for Mr. Jones will be private.
