Gail Marie DeLozier, nee Roy, 55 of Mechanicsville, MD.

On Saturday, March 14, 2009 after a brief illness.

Beloved wife of the late J. Michael DeLozier. Mother to Shannon M. and Jason M. DeLozier.

Grandmother of Justyn, Jaxyn and Vincent DeLozier. Daughter of Carl and Anna Roy. Sister of Linda Robinson and Carl W. Roy. Loving aunt to Paul Robinson and Kyndle Quinones and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Her grandparents Attilio & Assunta Giannasi and Ernest Boatman and Clara C. Roy preceded her in death.

Gail was actively involved with Women's Health issues, Civil Rights for all people, and Women's Right Issues. She participated in the Koman's Breast Cancer Walk for the last 10 years. At the time of her death she was employed at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Throughout her life Gail had a continuous thirst for knowledge that she satisfied as an avid reader, continuing scholar and with her extensive travels with her sister Linda. Gail and Linda's travel adventures are legendary. She was actively involved in her grandson's pigskin football program.

Graveside Services to be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD on Saturday, March 21 at 10:30 am. A Celebration of Gail's life to follow at the Parish Center. Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall providing arrangements.

True to her Native American Heritage, Gail lived this world with a free spirit and left this world with a free spirit.
