Mary Catherine "Kitty" Dean, 72, of La Plata, MD, died March 10, 2009, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, King George, VA.

Mrs. Dean was a homemaker who loved crocheting, doing puzzles, and playing Bingo.

Born September 14, 1936, in Loveville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Marie Knott and the late Joseph McQuillian Burch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Albert Dean; sister, Marie Stansbury; brother, Franklin Burch.

Survived by her sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" St. Clair of King George, VA; Agnes Wedding of Valley Lee, MD; Shirley Thomas of Hudson, FL; Elaine Wenk of La Plata, MD; Henrietta "Sue" Little of Dunnsville, VA; her brothers, Joseph Burch of King George, VA; Leonard Burch of Welcome, MD; Richard Burch of Clifton, MD; Johnny Burch of Montross, VA; also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gathering on Saturday, March 14, 2009, from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD. Reverend Paul Wager will officiate.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
