Patricia Ann Bowles Beavan, 75, of Chaptico, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Born on March 17, 1948 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Mary Helen Hill Dickerson, Marie Bowles, and John R. Bowles who proceeded her in death. Patsy was married to the love of her life, Michael Wayne Beavan on April 14, 1986. They were fortunate enough to spend 35 wonderful years together before his passing. Mike preceded her in death on November 27, 2021, along with her parents Mary Helen Dickerson, John and Marie Bowles, brothers Joseph B. Bowles (Joe), and John R. Bowles (Johnny), his wife Joan, Linda Knott and Ned Bowles. She is survived by her loving daughter Kimberly Wildoner and her husband Ron, who was, in her eyes, the best son-in-law a family could have; her grandchildren; James Russell (Theo) and his wife Amanda, Christopher (Chris) and wife Megan, Jennifer Keller and her husband Tim; her great-grandchildren who were the light of her life; Kayleigh Russell, Christopher Russell, Thor Russell, Ameila Russell, and Cora Keller, and her siblings, Debbie Bailey, Billy Bowles, Joe Bowles, Sara Thomas, George Bowles, and Cathy Williams.

Pasty graduated from Chopticon High School in 1966, after which she moved from Maryland with her aunt to start her career with the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. Patsy spent her entire career with the Department of Education and retired after 35 years of service in 2003. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration while working full time. Patsy and Mike enjoyed their retirement spending time with their daughter, Kim, and her husband Ron, and grandchildren.

Patsy was a devoted wife and mother, her family was her greatest joy. She loved traveling with friends and her classmates on short trips and abroad, and shopping was her passion. Patsy's love of family emulated when her mother, Marie Bowles, fell ill and she dedicated herself to her Mom's care to ensure her comfort for the remainder of her years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD, with services following at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Theo and Chris Russell, grandson-in-law, Tim Keller, and nephews, Mike Bowles, Tony Bailey, and Scott Bailey. Honorary pallbearer will be Bo Vallandingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice.
