Minnie Motley Bowen, 100, of Huntingtown passed away August 11, 2023, at her home. She was born August 11, 1923, in Danville, VA to George and Myrtle (Morion) Motley. Minnie was raised in Atlanta, GA. She married Reuben Bowen in 1946 in Atlanta while Reuben was in the Army. They moved to Huntingtown in 1947. She was primarily a homemaker and worked in the tobacco fields and as a secretary for Dr. Jett. Minnie was an active member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and volunteered at many church functions, especially the church dinners in the educational building. She was also a member of the Quilter Sisters Club, where she made quilts for Calvert Memorial Hospital.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Reuben Bowen in 2008 and her siblings George, Jim, and Shirley Motley. She is survived by her son David Bowen of Huntingtown and her grandson David Alexander Bowen of Lusby.
