Pearl L. English, 89 of Solomons, MD passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 at Calvert Memorial Hospital, Prince Frederick, MD. Pearl was born on August 26, 1919 in Camp Springs, MD to the late John Joseph Gue and Daisy M. Johnson Gue.

Ms. English was the owner of the Locust Inn in Solomons, MD since 1971. The Locust Inn was a rooming house that was converted into a Bed and Breakfast Inn. She was a member of the Solomons Civic and Business Association and she was a former waitress at Fisherman's Inn and also at Solomons Pier. Pearl enjoyed her life on Solomons Island and was an avid fisherman.

Pearl is survived by her partner, beloved friend and finance` Robert L. Siemon; devoted sister of Anna Dodson of Victoria, VA; aunt of Darlene and her husband Joe Pettit of Victoria, VA, Larry Hensley of Victoria, VA, Marylyn and her husband Ronnie France of Waldorf, MD, Bill and his wife Kathy Thomas of Golden Beach, MD and Becky Glassco of Golden Beach, MD. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 20 American Lane, Lusby, MD on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.; where funeral service's will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at. 11:00 A.M, Rev. John Williams officiated, interment to follow at Washington National Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
