Mae Roberta Rawlings, 96, of Huntingtown, Md. passed away on October 25, 2006 at the Calvert County Nursing Center.
Beloved wife of the late George Frank Rawlings, devoted mother of Betty R. Bowen and her husband William T, of Prince Frederick, MD, and Esther R, Cox and her husband Fred of Huntingtown, MD. Grandmother of Patricia Lynn Bowen of Prince Frederick, William Stuart Bowen, Sr. of St. Leonard, Harry Michael Bowen of Prince Frederick, Michael Alan Cox of Huntingtown, Mark Christian Cox, Sr, of Huntingtown and Michelle Dawn Cox Mister of Huntingtown. Great grandmother of Bonnie Marie Bowen of Lusby, William Stuart Bowen, Jr. of St. Leonard, Ashley Michelle Bowen of Prince Frederick, Katie Leigh Cox of Huntingtown, Mark Christian Cox, Jr. of Huntingtown, Jordan Michelle Mister of Huntingtown, and Cody Mark Mister of Huntingtown. Great great grandmother of Taylor Stock. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Wood of Huntingtown. Born February 5, 1910 in Calvert County, Md. to the late Walter and Ida L. Hardesty Buckmaster. She is predeceased by her sisters the late Ann Hamilton and Erma Watson. Roberta was a lifetime member of Waters Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, the choir and an organist at times. The family received friends at Waters Memorial United Methodist Church, St. Leonard, Md. on Friday October 27, 2O06 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Services were held on Saturday October 28, 2006, 11 a.m. Interment followed in Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery, Port Republic, Md. The pallbearers were: Win. Stuart Bowen, Sr., Harry Michael Bowen, Michael Alan Cox, Mark Christian Cox, Sr., Mark Hagner Mister, and Wm.
