Daniel Lee Delahoussaye was born on June 6, 1989 in Franklin, VA. Daniel walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 7, 2023 at the age of 33. Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bervin and Madeline Delahoussaye of Shady Spring, WV; and maternal grandfather, Ray Chapman of Franklin, VA.

Daniel is survived by his parents, David and Tammy Delahoussaye of Lusby, Md.; two sisters, Angela Jones of Beckley, WV and April (Brian) Marzulla of Beckley, WV; one brother and partner in crime, James Delahoussaye; grandmother, Rose Chapman of Franklin, VA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Daniel graduated from Patuxent High School in Lusby, Md. in 2007. He was an avid lover of sports and all things Viking. He loved drawing, snowboarding, four wheeling, jet skiing, bonfires on the beach and reading, especially Viking novels. He will always be remembered for his charming personality, infectious laugh, big bear hugs and welcoming smile. Daniel had dreams of traveling and exploring the world around him.

He was always the first to offer a helping hand when anyone was in need. Valhallah my son. Hope you found peace at Odin's Table. May the father light your path.

Daniel will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, and friend.

Family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, Md. Interment will be private. A reception is planned to follow at the Chesapeake Ranch Estates Club House at 395 Clubhouse Drive, Lusby, Md. 20657.
