Daniel Moore Seay, Jr., 65, of Hughesville, MD died February 27, 2009 at Civista Medical Center.

Born June 2, 1943 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of Daniel Moore Seay, Sr. and Bernice Viola Peaire.

Mr. Seay worked as a Real Estate Specialist for the General Services Administration. He retired in 2003 after 38 years of service. He wrote and presented bills to Congress.

Daniel enjoyed gardening and grew vegetables, flowers and fruit trees. He also loved to read, especially history. Hunan Star Bejing Shrimp was one of his favorite foods.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that made everyone in the family laugh.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Julia Barbara Bawgus Seay; daughters, Mary Vittum and Wendy B. Williams (Tucker); son, Daniel A. Seay; sister, Janet Ward (John); niece, Kristen Ward and grandson, Isaac Seay.

Mr. Seay's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 3009 from 6pm to 8pm at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD A Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10am in Hughesville Baptist Church, Hughesville, MD with pastor Kevin Cullins officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hughesville Baptist Church and/or the Charles County Public Library - Potomac Branch, 3225 Ruth B. Swann Dr., Indian Head, MD 20640.
