Joanne Mary Coty, 83, of Leonardtown, MD died February 24, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Born July 8, 1925 in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl Coty, and Hazel (Brainard) Coty.

Joanne served honorably in the U.S. Navy W.A.V.E.S from 1949 until 1952 at NAS Patuxent River, and retired from Jefferson Savings Bank, Watertown, NY as the Executive Secretary in 1989. She loved hiking, bowling, swimming and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Joanne is survived by her devoted son, Randy Boatwright and his wife Karrie and three step-grandchildren; Tammy Linger, Anthony Ciavattone and Abriana Ciavattone all of California, MD ; preceded in death by her son Bruce Boatwright.

Private Memorial Services will be held in the spring in Watertown, NY.
